Careful On New Tires

I saw a post on Ride It Like You Stole It that gives you a perfect example of why you should always be easy on new motorcycle tires. When tires are created the manufacturer uses something called a mold release to allow the tire to slip out of the mold. When you buy a new tire some of this substance can still be left on the tire causing it to be slippery. You always need to ride carefully until you’re sure all of the mold release has rubbed off your new tires. Need a little more convincing? Look at the photos on Ride It Like You Stole It for the evidence of the mold release.

How To Drop Your Bike

There’s a funny little post over at Helmet Hair Blog today that I thought was worth sharing. Helmet Hair talks about the motorcycle blog Ride It Like You Stole It’s list of 128 ways to drop your bike. Now of course no one ever wants to drop their bike, but we all know it’s bound to happen at some point. Maybe this list will help you prevent a few of those occurrences or at least give you a laugh.

Thanks To Tree

I have to thank my wonderful friend Treeboo for letting me move my blog to his host. I’ve been trying to get away from free wordpress for awhile now, but I just haven’t had the funds lately to purchase another domain. I haven’t posted much on the old blog in the last few months because I was sick of the free wordpress, but I assure you this one will be worth the read!
