Videos Widget

You may notice I removed the Revver video widget and replaced it with a Viddler widget.  From now on I’ll be uploading all our bike vids as well as our personal videos to Viddler.  I made the change because I like the Viddler service much better.  The videos have a better quality, upload times are quicker, and I think it’s just an all around better service.  I can also make a little cash (same as with Revver) every time someone clicks on one of the ads in my videos, so of course there’s a little incentive to use the service as well!

Saturday Shop Day

Hubby didn’t get to ride back up the mountain this evening to check on the bike’s progress. After picking up the cat from the vet we were $200 poorer, and it was close to 7pm. It wouldn’t have been worth it to ride 40 minutes back up the mountain. He did call the welder though, and he’s going to spend the whole day in the shop with the guy going over what’s been done, what needs to be done, and all that.

He might have it back together just in time to start commuting to work during the cold season. lol. Temps up there have already dropped to a high in the mid 60s each day. At least right now is the perfect time to ride down here where we’re in the upper 70s and lower 80s everyday. I wish it would stay like that year round. Hubby’s boss isn’t happy he’ll be going back to a 2 wheeled commute. He’s gotten used to sending Hubby to the store to pick up things they need whether it be a box of nails or a couple of Moen faucets the delivery guys forgot to leave when they dropped off the rest of the kitchen stuff. I’m telling ya up there everyone is so rich they have everything delivered. I wouldn’t doubt them having their toilet paper delivered with the morning newspaper!

We’re Back

Well, no bike updates today. We just got back from the beach yesterday, and we were planning on riding up to the shop to see how thing were going. Those plans changed though when we came home to find the cat had been accidentally let out of the house, and he’d been attacked by a dog. We ended up rushing him to the vet instead.

Hubby was going to stop by on his lunch break today to see how the bike was coming along, but his boss is finally stepping up and doing some employment screening of the guys working on his crew. Lunch got cut short, and they all had to take a test that will show if they really have the experience they say they have. I’m so glad he’s doing this because so many of the guys working on Hubby’s crew don’t know how to do simple carpentry yet they’re banking big paychecks because they claim they have a higher experience level.

Hopefully Hubby can find time to stop by the shop this afternoon, but I doubt it.  He’s got to leave early to pick the cat up from the vet now that he’s out of surgery and had a day to recover.

Almost Party Time

I just got off the phone with the welder, and the bike is almost ready to come home. He just had a couple questions, so Hubby’s going to swing by the shop on his way home from work. If things go as planned we’ll be picking it up Tuesday after we get home from the beach. We could have it all back together by next weekend!

Motorcycle Helmets and Gear

It’s definitely about time to have a party. We might have missed almost all season, but at least we’ll have our bike back! Oh, and at least we didn’t miss the end of season bash up at the Gap. That’ll be October 25th. I knew if the bike wasn’t back together I was going anyway. I’d ride bitch with Alli if I had to. Speaking of Alli, I have to get out of here. I’ve still got to finish packing, and I promised her I’d drop off some cookie recipes she’s been wanting sometime today. It would be awesome if I could find a little cookie cutter in the shape of a sport bike.
