I had some photos I was going to share with you today…updated photos of the bike, but it looks like you’re just going to have to wait. I sat down at my desk and started searching for my card reader. After 10 minutes of searching I found it in the floor pretty much crushed. I snapped a photo of it with my cell phone cam since I have no way to get the photos off my memory cards right now.

If I could find my camera cord I could slowly transfer them all directly from the camera, but there’s no telling where that is. I inspected it to see if I could repair, and no can do. A few of the contact legs are broken, and there’s no getting around that. You can’t do a solder repair when there’s nothing left to solder. I’ll just have to go pick up a new card reader today.
Bye bye cheap $2 card reader. You did your job well over the last 2 years!

Hubby and I were just joking about how we’re going to have to make our yard look a wee bit more redneck*. We have a garage, but we can’t use it. It’s stuffed from wall to wall with my Grandma’s junk. So is every other storage building, barn, and attic on the property. She probably has 60 years of junk piled up around here, and there’s no telling how valuable some of it is.
Because of that we’re stuck with one of those open carports that would be ok except the wind blows rain and snow under it. Last year we had the bike outside, so we had a tarp thrown up on the side where the wind blows. There was a line of shrubs protecting the other side. We haven’t worried about it this year because the guest room became the bike garage, but not anymore.
We’ve got a friend coming down to spend at least a couple weeks with us, and he’s going to need a room of his own. That pushes bikes outside, and means we’ve got to fix the carport up somehow to be rain/freezing rain/ snow proof again. This year it’s not as simple as throwing a tarp over one end because the row of shrubs on the other side got chopped down. Now I’m on a mission to find a tarp big enough to cover the whole thing so we can redneck carport cover* it!
*Hey…being that I am said redneck, I’m allowed to say stuff like that!

With the cold weather upon us and threads showing on the back tire I’m having serious riding withdrawals. It’s warm enough to ride today, but without a back tire what are you to do? I’ve turned to video games for my fix. I played a little Tourist Trophy then I sat down for awhile and decided to buy bikes for all of my Sims. I still need to find a sports bike since all the motorcycles I’ve been able to download or choppers or cruisers. If anybody has a custom sports bike mesh that you know about let me know! I’m not just looking in the free stuff. I’m all for a PTU mesh as well.
I really need to get some more photos taken of our bike and what it looks like now. I thought of doing that today, but I left my camera in the Blazer. I’ll try to take some photos when Hubby gets home from work if it’s not too dark. My Kodak point & shoot doesn’t work very well in the dark. The flash totally sucks!
Now I’m going to go cut into one of the mini cheesecakes I made last night. If they taste as good as they look I’m definitely going to have to do some research on effective diet pills.

We’re headed out to a wedding this morning, and this really sucks. It’s still raining non stop, and we’ve got to drive 2 hours downstate for it. What really sucks is the Bride and Groom were planning on leaving out on the Groom’s Harley. I really hope they came up with a backup plan because it’s supposed to pour rain all day.
I had a feeling it’d end up raining like this today. When I watched the news last night with my Grandparents they were saying the rain would move out over night. My Grandma told me she knew better than that. She pulled out her magnetic bracelets because her arthritis in her wrists was killing her because of the rain. She knew today would be another bad day. When I woke up this morning and checked the weather, she was totally right. 70% chance all day doesn’t sound like it moved out to me!

We’re supposed to go for a ride with friends this afternoon, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to. Clumsiness that is me fell hard this morning, and I’ll probably be too sore to ride. See we’ve got this couch bed in my office. I pulled it out yesterday because I already had this room warm, but the bedroom was freezing. It was super easy to get out as usual, and all was well.
Then Hubby came home and sat on the edge of it. 270lbs on a concentrated area of the bar wasn’t good at all, and he bent the thing. He bent it out the best he could, but he just couldn’t get it completely straight. Last night one of my friends drove up for my birthday. It was late, so we pulled the couch bed back out for him so he didn’t have to drive 2 hours home at midnight.
This morning Hubby came stumbling through half asleep and plopped down on the same bar he bent yesterday! This time it bent even worse, but he was running late, so he didn’t have time to fix it before work. He was out the door before I could get it folded back up, so I folded it up and tried to put it back in the couch myself. Everything was fine until I went to give it that last shove down into the hole. It didn’t want to budge, so I put all my body weight into it, pushed as hard as I could, and found myself flat on my face against the bottom of the bed. It was in place, but I smacked my lower stomach on the very uncushioned wooden frame of the couch on my way down.
Now I’m in some serious pain, and I’m already turning black and blue. I bruise so easily my whole stomach will probably be one huge bruise in a couple hours. I’ll keep an eye on it, and if it starts to look too rough I’ll hit up Urgent Care.
What is it with me an furniture? The last time I seriously hurt myself I fell on one of the chairs my aunt bought for her home theater seating. I already have an invisible bullseye on my forehead. I guess I need to paint one on my entire body.
