I’m sorry if you don’t see me around here over the next few days. My sleep schedule is totally screwed up again, and that means I feel horrible. I’ve also still got a sore throat lingering that doesn’t want to go away, and it’s driving me crazy.
Hubby tried to wake me up around 5:30pm. We were supposed to go help my dad transplant a few fruit trees he needs to move so he can move his fence line. He’s got a couple small apple trees he wants to move before they get too big to move, and I know there are a few wild Plum trees that may need to be moved as well. Hubby woke me up and told me it was still raining, so we wouldn’t need to meet up with my Dad toady. That’s all I needed to hear, so I drifted back off to sleep and slept until 10pm. Then I laid in bed for a good hour watching tv because my body just didn’t want to move.
Even though I slept 10 hours I really feel like I need to go back to bed. A couple days each month I have some health issues that will put me in bed for anywhere from 12 hours to a couple days, and this has been one of the rougher months.
Sit tight. Hopefully this will be over soon, and I can get back to normal posting. Right now I just don’t have the energy to sit here to do research for my blogs.

While it’s extremely cold outside for most of us, and we don’t even want to think about A/C, let’s take a time out from bikes to talk about auto air conditioning for a minute. Did you know that the winter is the absolute perfect time to get the air conditioning in your car checked and fixed? It’s a great time to do minor maintenance on things like this or to fix a system that isn’t working. You don’t want your A/C to die in the middle of the summer when it’s seriously hot out, and you definitely don’t want to spend another summer without A/C if it’s already quit on you.
I know how horrible it can be to spend a summer without A/C. When the A/C compressor went out in my Saturn we couldn’t afford to have it fixed. We were ok until the sunroof quit working, but then things just got miserable. After that I swore I would never spend another summer without A/C again.
If my A/C were to die right now I’d definitely start looking for the parts on 1airconditioning.com. Not only is it cheaper to purchase your own parts in most cases, but 1airconditioning.com has parts offers free shipping and a warranty just in case the part happens to go bad on you.

I still haven’t had the time or cash to purchase a new card reader yet, but I did take some more photos of the bike today. As soon as I have a chance to get those uploaded I’ll create a photo album just for them. I really need to sort through all of our bike photos anyway. Hubby asked me to create him a bike album on his domain a few months ago. I got a few photos uploaded, ran out of time, and completely forgot about it until now. If I have time tonight I might get to work organizing that into something I can share. If I do I’ll add the link here for anyone who’s interested. If not, I’ll eventually get to it.

Hubby was arguing with me today about the bike insurance. I paid it in full this summer right after the wreck because he swore he’d have the bike back together soon. After not riding for a few months he feels like paying the insurance on it is a waste for all those months. He thinks I should have dropped the insurance this summer and added it back after it was repaired and ridable. Me I look at it like this. It is ridable, and the full year of insurance is paid up. We didn’t know exactly when we’d have it all back together, but I did know the insurance would still be valid whenever that day came. I don’t have to pay insurance on it again until June.
This is just like when the Saturn broke down and he canceled the insurance on it without telling me. We knew we wouldn’t be buying another car right away. We were using the bike as our only transportation, but I tried my best to convince him not to cancel the car insurance because it’s actually cheaper and better to keep your insurance going on a broken down car than it is to have to start all over again in the system as someone without insurance.
Of course he didn’t listen to me, he canceled it, and when it came time to put insurance on the Blazer we were automatically put into a higher rate category just because we hadn’t had any current insurance within the last 6 months. Of course bike insurance doesn’t count when it comes to car insurance. They will only look consider if you’ve had car insurance or not. It would have saved me over $600 a year on car insurance if we’d just kept that previous premium going. I would have spent around $200 every 6 months to keep it going, so I could have saved us $400.
*Shakes head at him*
He’ll never listen.
