Go Figure

The bike is back together minus a couple little plastic pieces that don’t matter right now, and now I have a new problem to deal with.  My Blazer up and decided it needed some sick leave.  I guess it’s sick of Hubby making it chug up and down the mountain everyday, so it decided now is the time to give us some problems, now being that time when I owe the good ‘ole IRS a ton of moolah.  Of course that also means I don’t have any extra cash now to do drastic fixing to the Blazer, but it’s got to be done anyway.

It started a few weeks ago when the heat died on us.  Luckily that was an easy fix.  We knew it would go one of two ways.  Either the heater core was seriously clogged again or the control unit went out.  Luckily the heater core was just clogged again, and that saved us $400.  We also had a small hole pop up in the radiator, so I had my cousin patch it right up thinking we’d be good to go.

If only I were that lucky.  Of course not!  Something has to be wrong with some vehicle I own at all times, so the Blazer wasn’t finished with me yet.  The day we picked it up from the radiator shop the tranny got jealous and decided to take some time off as well.  Now the Blazer is going into the tranny shop tomorrow to get a confirmation on my worst fear…it’s time for a rebuild.  It figures since we just rolled up on 105,000 miles.

I was supposed to go shopping for a baby gift today, but with the rpms jumping I’m afraid to drive it too much.  Even though I found some seriously cute baby bedding with motorcycles on it in town, I think I’ll just have to hunt down something similar online. I know I ran across a website a couple weeks ago that had baby motorcycle sheet sets, so hopefully I can remember where that was.

Yeah I know I just said I don’t have the cash we need right now, but I seriously have to dip into what savings I have to buy this baby gift. Then it’s right back to dumping all my extra change into my fix the blazer/stop the IRS from ripping me a new one fund. Oh how happy I will be when tax season is over!
