It’s been pretty quiet around here lately because no one has really had a chance to ride. The weather has cooperated off and on, but the leaking has persisted. Luckily we finally figured out where the oil leak was coming from, and it’s going to be a gasket fix in a pretty easy to get to place.
Now our only issue is figuring out how we’re going to pay for it as well as the new tires we need. The tires are so shot there’s no chance in Hubby riding anytime soon, but there’s no cash to buy new ones. Thanks to the economy Hubby hasn’t had much work here lately, and that means we’re scrambling to stay afloat. Bike parts will have to take a back seat to the necessities for awhile.

[image via flickr]I swear if it’s not one thing it’s another. Hubby rode the bike to work today, and on his lunch break he called me. The first thing out of his mouth was “How much did my new taillight cost, and can you get a new one?” Of course questions like that always make me ask wtf happened.
Apparently his boss got his son a new air rifle for his birthday, and they were playing around with it this morning. Hubby’s boss was shooting at a bottle and missed taking out Hubby’s tail light! Seriously, how redneck could they be this morning, and what idiot sets up their target near the vehicles?
Men. That’s the only thing that comes to mind right now. So yeah it looks like I’ll be buying another tail light this week, but at least Hubby’s boss offered to reimburse me for it. He better considering he’s the idiot who ruined the perfectly good one I’d just bought!
I guess it gives me something to do between working and reading liporexall reviews, but I wasn’t exactly wanting to spend my time looking at more bike parts today. That just makes me think of riding, and that bums me out.

It’s such a pretty day today, so I’m trying not to stare out the window at the bike daydreaming too much. I know now that Hubby’s got the leaks taken care of he’s going riding as soon as he gets home today.
I went shopping yesterday, and I found these totally cute onsies and matching socks with motorcycles on them, so of course I had to buy them. I don’t care what the sex of the baby is because it’ll wear them either way. I hate having to call the baby “it”. I’m so glad we’ve only got 5 more weeks until the ultrasound that determines sex. As much as we want a boy we’ll be happy either way, but at least I won’t have to call my baby an “it” anymore.
I’m rambling about the baby enough right now. I need to go pull the cat off the dresser before he knocks all the clothes I just folded in the floor, then I need to go do some more research on Vegas hotels for Hubby.
I still can’t believe I’m even considering letting him take this trip without me as much as I’ve talked about how badly I want to go to Vegas, too. Oh well at least I know he needs to get away sometimes without me just as much as I need to get away without him, so one day when I’m booking my own get away, I’ll remind him of this.

I swear just when I think everything is finally going great and we’ve fixed everything that was falling apart Hubby called to tell me he’s having major issues with the bike. Apparently it decided to start leaking oil and coolant in the same day. He was planning on taking a long ride after work today with his Dad, but it looks like that won’t be happening. He’ll be riding home so we can try to see why both suddenly started leaking at the same time. Yes Kyle, that means we’ll probably be calling you.
At least I’m not super jealous that he rode the bike to work today or anything. I think not having to see the bike sitting under the carport every time I look out the kitchen window has helped me today. *Sigh* 6 more months of incubating this little munchkin, then I can ride again.
For now I’ll stick with what I’ve been doing most of the day…window shopping. Ok I admit I’ve actually done some real shopping, but let’s just don’t tell Hubby that. For the most part I’ve spent the last hour or so flipping through “as seen on tv” products and products claiming to be the best wrinkle cream on Lakeside. At least I’ve refrained from ordering most of the junk they sell!
