Back On The Road

I was able to budget in some cheap tires for Hubby this week, so he’s out again looking for a job via the bike.  I think he’ll be taking advantage of ridingthe bike right now as much as he can because honestly he hasn’t been able to ride that much lately.

We used to go everywhere on the bike as long as it wasn’t pouring rain or we didn’t have to carry anything back with us (ie the grocery store), but lately Hubby’s been confined to 4 wheels since I can’t hop on the bike and go where  I please.  I know it’s kind of bummed him out.

Also, when you’re used to being on the bike all the time it makes a big different when you have to start keeping gas in an SUV again.  Hopefully while he’s laid off the bike will help us save a little more gas cash.

The Damage

Well this is going to be an interesting week. Hubby just lined up a job interview in Easley on Friday. The pay isn’t great, but it’s a job which is better than nothing at all right now. Now our only issue is getting him to this interview and hopefully to the job!

When I said he really needs a bike tire I wasn’t fibbing at all. I finally got around to taking a photo of it today. I’ve honestly never seen a bike tire showing threads this bad. He was already showing threads when he took it down the road to test the fix for the coolant leak. He only rode about a mile, and this is what it now looks like. You better believe I’d have been furious if I had been around when he rode it like that at all!

Yeah if I catch any of my peoples riding on a tire like this I’ll save them the misery of wrecking and threaten to strangle them myself! Ya’ll know I love ya, but please don’t be an idiot like Hubby was and risk riding on such a dangerous tire even for a mile.

The truck tires are too shot to drive back and forth to Easley, and if he gets this job he’s going to need to ride the bike just to afford the commute right now. That means I’m busting tail to get my yard sale going.   I decided to hold off on the payday loan if I can help it.  Hopefully the furniture I have will help me make enough to cover a new tire. I’ve been busy today making signs, and I had to take a break from coloring big letters spelling out “FURNITURE” because my hand kept cramping up.

Yeah yeah I know then what am I doing typing? It doesn’t hurt the same besides sitting in the floor was putting mucho pressure on my back. Pregnancy and back pains may go hand in hand but I don’t have to make it worse.  I’m going to try to color a couple more signs for “CDs” and “BOOKS”, but I might break down and print them out. I didn’t want to do that because I’m trying to reserve my ink for as long as I can. God only knows when I’ll have the cash to buy that again!

For Sale

For any of you yzf 600r owners out there (and I know a couple who read this blog at least occasionally), contact me if you’re looking for any specific parts for your bike.  I’ll be listing a ton of parts on Ebay this coming week, but if there’s something you’re looking for I’ll be willing to give you first dibs before listing.

Currently the bigger items we have are:

Motorcycle Helmets and Gear
  • seat
  • tail fairing
  • left passenger peg
  • rear fender
  • tail light bracket
  • right side fairing
  • coolant overflow bottle

There’s also a ton of other small stuff including a few plastic parts, nuts, bolts, and all that.  The entire rear (subframe to tail) is custom now, so if you’re needing anything stock from that section there’s a good chance we have it if it wasn’t destroyed.

PayDay Loan For Tires

I always said I’d never be one of those people who took out a payday loan, but not because of the fees.  I know all loans have a fee.  My problem was I didn’t want to have to deal with the hassle of going to the payday loan store.

Today I ran into a situation that’s most likely going to require me to take out a payday loan, and I learned I don’t have to deal with the hassle of the store anymore.  I can get a Fast Online Payday Loan, and it’s so easy! There’s no credit check, the decision is instant, I can do it all completely online, and it’s available nationwide.

Hubby and I need tires for both the bike and the blazer, but we honestly can’t afford either right now due to the fact that he just got laid off work. I have cash coming in, but I’m going to need a loan to float us until my check arrives, and the payday loan is going to be my choice. Bike tires will not only be cheaper, but the gas in the bike will be much cheaper as well. The truck tires will last long enough for us to use the truck for small stuff like going to get groceries and going to the doctor over the new couple of weeks, but I don’t trust Hubby driving it around on his job hunt.
