Layouts

Since I’m not going to have a lot going on anytime soon with bike stuff I think I may take the time to come up with a new layout for this blog.  I like the layout I’m currently using, but there’s something missing.  If you see me switching things around over the coming days, there’s your explanation.  If you find something (other than comments) that doesn’t seem to be working please let me know.  You can leave a comment, but I’ll have to manually approve it.

Using Online Coupons For Auto Parts

I’ve always considered myself a thrifty shopper of sorts.  Most of the time I try to pick things up on sale, used, or when I have coupons that will save me at least a little bit off the normal price.  I normally shop for discounts on everyday things like food, clothing, and household items, but I never really thought about taking the time to use coupons when it comes to things for our automobiles.

Yep, that’s right.  You can even use coupons for auto related purchases!  For example I found Motorcycle Superstore coupons for free shipping.  I know I’d already receive free shipping on orders over $75, but taking advantage of this offer means I don’t have to wait until I can spend $75 to receive free shipping.  That can save me a lot in the end.

I’m not just searching for coupons and coupon codes for Motorcycle related parts, accessories, and gear.  I was happy to find OE Replacement coupons as well.  Hubby loves browsing through that online store, so he’ll be happy to know he can save himself a bit of cash with his next order.

What’s the lesson today?  Don’t think coupons only pertain to the basic everyday stuff.  You never know where you’re going to pinch a few pennies.

The Highway 11 Horror

This has been one of those weekends I would rather see disappear.  Everything seems to be going wrong this weekend.  To top it off Hubby got pulled over on Highway 11 Friday, and he got a ticket for $230, but I have a feeling this one may be getting thrown out.

First of all he was pulled over by a state trooper who decided to be a total dick.  He walked around the bike 3 times, and he wrote down everything on the ticket that he thought was wrong with the bike and why it wasn’t street legal.  Out of all of the things he wrong down NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM ARE REQUIRED BY LAW IN SOUTH CAROLINA!

The trooper says Hubby was running “defective equipment” because he was only running 1 mirror, no turn signals on the rear, and no side fairings.  As for the fairings…um naked bike anyone?

In South Carolina you are only required to run ONE mirror, and the law doesn’t specify which side you must run.  As for the turn signals, they are also not required.  We’ve heard a lot about cops profiling motorcycles on Highway 11, and no we  know it’s definitely true.  The cop had absolutely no reason to pull Hubby over, and he never even blue lighted him.

Hubby was pulling over on the side of a dead end road right off Hwy 11. to call me to let me know where he was, and when he gave his hand signal to turn onto the shoulder of the  road the cop pulled in behind him, and started questioning him about why he was pulling over, what he was doing on Highway 11, where he was going, and why he was operating “defective equipment”.

You better believe this is one we’ll be fighting!

Headaches, TV, and Heartbreak

Headache. That’s what I’ve got, and that’s what I can’t seem to get rid of. This one is definitely of the sinus pressure variety, but I can’t be exactly certain if it’s pregnancy related or just plain old sinus junk. It’s getting hard to figure that out these days.

I do know I’m taking the rest of the evening off. I’m going to sit around doing nothing for the next few hours. I might curl up on the bed to read a book, or I might even check out some online TV.

I saw an ad for Spreety TV Online : Watch TV Shows Online Free, and I think I might just check it out. These days it’s hard to find LEGAL places to watch TV online, but since Spreety offers that I’m going to give it a shot. Hey it saves me from having to walk all the way into the living room to watch tv, and if I end up watching it more than the cable I’d be willing to cancel the cable tv.

Heck it’d save me over $100 a month! I only really keep the cable tv so I can watch Burn Notice and Weeds, and with Spreety I can watch Burn Notice online for free, and I don’t have to fight with Hubby to watch tv ether. Now that we’ve got the one tv we tend to fight over who’s watching what or when he’s going to get to play Tourist Trophy!

Plus, I just like the idea of curling up in bed and watching tv until I hopefully drift off into a nap that’s going to take this headache away. After all I need to get rid of it before tonight. A friend of my family passed away, and we need to go to the funeral home to pay our respects since we can’t make it to the funeral tomorrow.

Congratulations!

I want to say a BIG congrats to my best friend, Alli, and her boyfriend, Phillip. Phillip proposed while they were at Deal’s Gap this weekend, and she said yes! I just wish I could have been there to celebrate with her! US129Photos got some shots of them that you can check out by clicking here.

Also if you’d like to help Phillip win a free 16×24 print for being the photo of the month please scroll down the page and vote for him.  He’s dragging knee on the burnt orange ‘05 Suzuki GSXR 750.  You can’t miss him!
