Motorcycle Terms Dictionary

LOL I just stumbled upon a free online dictionary that I thought was kind of cool and worth sharing.  Have you ever heard someone use a bike related term, but you weren’t exactly sure what they were talking about but you were afraid you’d sound like an idiot if you asked them what it meant?

Motorcycle Helmets and Gear

Bring on the Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary to help you out!  You can use this free resource to learn all the terms you didn’t know, and you can also submit your own bike related words and phrases to be added.  Oh, and the next time you call someone a squid and they’re so squiddy they ask “What’s that?” just tell them to go look it up!

Pumpkin Carving

If anyone spots any cool looking motorcycle related pumpkin carving stencils please drop me a note to let me know.  You can always shoot me a quick email at jen AT 10pointsolutions DOT com if you find one.  Hubby and I have been looking for some cool bike related stencils, but we haven’t really found any we like.  We’re going to be carving some pumpkins this weekend, and I’d like to be able to do one of our motorcycle ones.  We’ll probably be carving more pumpkins later on, so if anyone happens to spot any patterns they think I might like feel free to let me know.

Winterizing Your Motorcycle

Snow On My Bike - Fun Ride To Work

Winter may not be here yet, but it’s definitely time to start thinking about how you’re going to winterize your bike if you choose not to ride year round or if you live in a climate that doesn’t allow you to.  This will be the first year we’ll be winterizing because it’s going to be the first year we’re not planning to ride year round.  That’s mostly because we just don’t see ourselves having the time to ride much this winter with the baby, and last year Hubby had a hard time dealing with some of the pains caused by the cold and previous wreck injuries.

Motorcycle Helmets and Gear

With winterizing you have to decide on a few things.  First of all where are you going to store your bike?  Are you going to put it away completely, or do you want it to be located somewhere easy to get to incase you do get the itch to ride if the temps heat up during one of those winter days?  We will definitely be storing our bike in the garage, and we’re going to hang it as well to prevent flat spots on the tires and strain on the suspension.

If you’re not sure what steps you need to take there are quite a few different ways to go about winterizing.  Here’s a pretty good How-To to give you a few pointers on what to do.
