I am so very thankful for my MIL on days like this. We got to take a nice long ride up the mountain because my MIL offered to keep the little one for the afternoon. It’s been so long since I’ve gotten to do that, and I really needed that ride. I’ve had a lot of things going on lately, and I really needed that opportunity to clear my head.
I don’t know how often we’ll get to ride in the near future because we may not have the funds to do so. Then again we may be parking the truck and taking the bike everywhere the little one doesn’t go with us because we got some rather bad news today. It looks like Hubby is going to be laid off for an extended period of time, at least until New Year’s, so if he doesn’t find another job soon (or if the boss doesn’t find work for him soon) we’ll be scraping pennies just to put gas in the bike!

There hasn’t been a lot of riding going on around here. I did get to ride a few days ago for about 20 minutes, but the little one just doesn’t let me get away very often. Boy have I been missing those days when I could hit the road anytime I wanted, but I honestly have to say I wouldn’t give up my little one to do that again for anything!
I don’t want to completely ignore this blog, but I admit I just don’t have much riding going on to write about. That’s why you’ll probably see this blog turning into more of a general place for me to write over the next few months. I’m hoping I’ll eventually get back to the niche, but understand that it may not happen anytime soon. I’m hoping my readers will stick around to hear the other things I have to talk about.

It looks like we may have a future rider on our hands! Hubby let the little one sit on the bike with him today (yes it is a rat bike now, no I don’t care), and she loved it. She already stops whatever she’s doing to listen whenever she hears a bike go by the house. I think she may just grow up loving them as much as we do!
