Sometimes it really drives me nuts that some of my family members aren’t supportive of my bike riding hobby.  My Grandmother is the one who I’m really not happy with right now.  Normally my Grandma will do anything to get the chance to spend a few hours with the baby.  She calls multiple times a week wanting to see her, and Ellie normally goes to her house at least one afternoon a week.

Well, today was a nice pretty day, and Ben was planning to go ride with some of our friends.  My Grandma stopped by to see Ellie, so I asked if she’d mind keeping her for a couple hours.  At first she said not at all and to drop Ellie off when I had her ready.  Then she asked me what I planned to do.  I told her I was going to go for a ride with Ben, and that’s when she said absolutely not to keeping Ellie.

Actually her words were “I’ll keep her for anything except you getting on that death trap.  Don’t ever ask me to keep her so you can ride again!”

Grrr.  Why does she have to be like that?  I know she hates motorcycles, but I’m not going to stop riding just because she doesn’t like them!  I hardly get a chance to ride anyway, so oh well.  Ben got to go on the ride, and I sat at home as usual…and no I didn’t let Ellie go to my Grandma’s after all.
