Scam Alert
Yeah I know most people already know this, but I had a friend call me just now wanting to know if a certain website was legit, so I thought it was worth it to stress that these scams do happen.
If any website or ebay auction has prices that are too good to be true it is most likely a scam!
My friend called me wanting to know what I thought about 75vn.com. I’m not even justifying the site with a link because it is indeed a scam site. If you do happen to check out the site you will notice they have big ticket items for unbelievably low prices. My friend was looking at some of their bikes, and he was super excited to see the prices. So he does what any other unsuspecting person would do. He called a few of the listers to inquire about the bikes. In fact he called 3 separate numbers for 3 separate sellers.
Each one told him the same thing. They all said they were in England right now, and the bike is being held for them by a shipping company.
This is always a scam!
The scammer lures you in by telling you the shipping company is holding the bike, but they really need to get rid of it quickly, so they’re selling it for a really cheap price. That should be your first tip off. Next they tell you they can’t accept paypal. This is crucial when it’s an Ebay listing because the scammer is keeping the money transfer away from Ebay. You’re told the money will be held in an escrow until you receive the bike and have it inspected. Then the money will be released to the seller. A lot of people fall for this thinking it’s totally legit and they’re protected because their money is in escrow.
Most of the time the bike never exists. The second you send your money you’ve been had. You’ll never see the money or the bike.
Please be careful guys. Remember if something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is!
Now I’m off to search for a few diets for Hubby. He’s decided his leathers are a little too tight in the stomach region, and the only way to fix that is some quick weight loss. Of course I don’t want him losing weight too quickly, but we’re going to put him on a nice healthy diet. We agreed months ago he needed to work on his weight. It took a new set of leathers to make him want to do it!
