It’s a shame I didn’t get to ride up to the Gap with Hubby on Saturday because he said the weather was really nice. I was stuck at home dealing with a little something the boys don’t have to experience, and let me tell ya cramps are not fun on a 2 1/2 hour bike ride.

Yeah, so I didn’t get to go, but Hubby already has some pretty decent shots up. For you guys that went up Friday and Saturday, most of your photos are already up on Zeefoto and US129Photos. Alli I saw a couple great shots of you, and they aren’t all ass photos this time! Ray has a ton of great shots as always, and I’m sure he’ll make the front page of Killboy, as usual!

Did anyone happen to figure out who the other photographer was yet? We know Zeefoto, US129, and Killboy were there, but there was another group setup without any signs. It didn’t look like Killboy’s other photographers, and I don’t think it was Moonshine, so if anyone knows who the other people were let me know!  I don’t think Dragon Slayer Photos has been out there since August of last year.

I’m off to look at some bedding sets since Hubby’s picking up the material to build my new bed today!

Yep, yet again the trip to The Gap is canceled. Damn it I just want all this rain to go away! I’m getting so sick of it!

Anywho, did you know having 6 motorcycles in your basement, even when 4 of them don’t have any gas in them, it can build up dangerous fumes? :-p That’s what the natural gas man tried to tell us last night.

I rode 2 up last night with hubby, and we got stuck coming home in a down pour. That was interesting because it’s the first time I’ve ridden with him in the rain since his wreck. I could feel him tensing up as the rain fell harder, but we made it home safely without any freak outs. Go hubby!

I guess if we can’t go on our trip this weekend I’m going to make hubby do something else. I’ve been wanting to hit up the Anderson Flea Market since there’s a vendor there that sells really nice teak furniture that I love. I’ve been wanting to buy a new set of furniture for the back patio, so this just might be the weekend I do it.

I can’t catch a break. Seriously! All I want is ONE decent trip to Deal’s Gap before it starts getting crowded. I hate going up there when it’s overly crowded because I just can’t enjoy myself. Crowds mean cops whether anyone’s causing trouble or not, and when the THP show up everyone is considered a trouble maker…even Granny taking a nice leisurely drive through the mountains.

I’ve been checking the weather for Robbinsville almost every time I’ve sat down at my desk. All I want is to see that little rain symbol go away, but *sigh* it’s still there. If it does rain we’re still going to the mountains next weekend, it just won’t be as fun without taking the bike.

We’ll still be making the trip to Pigeon Forge though. I found out my dad and his girlfriend will be in Pigeon Forge next weekend, too, so I think we’re turning it into a little family time. It’s been so long since I’ve gone on a trip with my dad. Well the last time would have been the last family vacation we took the Pigeon Forge before my parent’s split, and I was probably 17 then. Man that was 9 years ago.

It just happens to be a coincidence that he’s going up there this weekend. He’s been looking at some land for sale in Tennessee, so maybe if I get lucky he’ll be buying a little place up there. Then I can just visit my dad when I want to go to The Gap!

Yay I’m so excited about our trip next weekend now. I’ve got a friend who lives in Tennessee. We grew up together and were practically inseparable in high school, but when we went off to college we lost touch. He moved to TN, and well I went to a school here. I caught up with him a couple months ago on Myspace, and we’ve been talking whenever we catch each other online.

He happened to pop online last night, and I was telling him about our trip to Deal’s Gap. He doesn’t ride anymore after he had a pretty bad accident on his bike a few years ago. He got himself in with a bad crowd, got messed up pretty bad on drugs, and ended up crashing his bike because he’d been up for 8 days straight.

*shakes head*

He totaled his bike, but thankfully he made it out alive. The crash did him some good though. It opened his eyes, and he ended up spending some time in drug rehabilitation. Now he’s clean and enjoying life. Although he’s still afraid to get back on a bike, he wants to meet us at Deal’s Gap. He’s heard all about it, but he’s never been there, so he promised he’ll make the 2 hour drive down to meet up with me that Friday. I so can’t wait to see him!
