I realize fantasy football isn’t a new thing but it’s new to my household and it’s absolutely driving me crazy. My husband spends more time each week thinking about which players he’s going to trade and mapping out which games he’s going to watch on his direct tv nfl ticket than he does talking to the kids or to me and that’s just unacceptable, you know? I love that he has a new hobby and something to keep him busy but at times I just wish he would get it together and stop being so obsessive over whatever it is he’s into at the moment. I love my husband so much but he acts like a kid sometimes and I wish he would think a little less about himself and a little more about his family. There are times when the kids ask me where he is and I have to tell them he’s been in his man cave watching football all afternoon! I’ve tried to talk to him but it doesn’t seem to be making an impact.

My dad has always wanted to get direct tv Durham so he could watch all his golf tournaments on the weekend and since he’s had such a rough year me and my siblings decided to go in together and get him a subscription. He broke his hip back in May and he’s been more or less laid up ever since so he can’t really play golf like he used to and I know he gets really bored sitting at home all day. I love my dad but since mom died he’s been a lot to deal with – the mood swingsand the sadness which I totally understand. I feel like if there’s even one little thing we can do to make him feel better about life then it’s our responsibility to do it for him and not ask any questions…he’s been the best dad any of us could have asked for and he deserves our respect and adoration as he ages. At least he lives close to all of us!

My little girl is growing up and moved into her own house. She has always been a daddy’s girl and I have never had any complaints about that. I do not think I will ever have any complaints about that. It is wonderful to be loved so unconditionally. When she started looking at houses, I was the first person she came to for advice. She asked me about the nice neighborhoods and what questions to ask. I was thrilled with her choice. I was even more thrilled when she asked for help to get everything set up. She was able to put in adirect tv order for next week and also get the water turned on quickly. I told her I would take care of the power company and landscaping. I have always loved to landscape and I think my daughter was aware of that when she asked for my help. The lawn looks amazing and she said she is really enjoying it. I am lucky to have such a loving daughter and I hope she always needs and wants me.
