Commissioning A Motorcycle Chick Logo
I’ve been talking to someone over the last few weeks about commissioning a piece of artwork that would basically be the logo design for the group of us girls who ride together here. We’ve been discussing terms, and it looks like we finally settled on something both the artist and I can agree on. I don’t want to name any names right now because it’s going to take a few months for the commission to be finished, and I want it to be a surprise. You hear me Allison & Anna? I’m not telling you who it is so stop asking me!
To keep the cost low we’re agreeing on a non commercial commission. That means we can print as sell as many shirts as we need to the girls in the group as long as we’re selling to recover the costs of printing and commission instead of to make money. We’re not interested in making any money off the shirts. We just all want a shirt that shows who we are. I also have permission to give away some of the shirts on the blog, so if all goes well we might just have a little contest going on here in a few months.
If we did want to create our own group logo to use for a business it would be very easy to do. All we’d have to do is visit LogoYes, and we’d have it done in a matter of minutes. When you’re starting a new company it’s always important to come up with a logo design to go with your name so your company can be known by that logo. Check out the business card I just created.
It only took me about 30 seconds to make that logo, and it looks good on my business card. There are 5 easy steps to follow, so all you have to do is pick your logo and let the program create the card for you. There were a ton of different logos to choose from depending on the industry, and as you can see I even found one that works for motorcycles! You know this girl loves a curvy road!
