Bike Inspection
We’ve inspected the bike, and there’s really not a whole lot that’s got to be replaced. The plastics are going to be busted up for awhile, but that’s because I want to put my cash into fixing what we need first. Plastics fall under the want category.
- Headlight- All 5 tabs that attach it to the bike are busted off.
- Crankcase Cover- It’s busted right down the middle. It was already scratched up, so luckily I’ve already priced a replacement. There’s no internal damage thank god.
- Left Handlebar Clip
- Shift Lever- It’s bent backwards and chewed off.
- Left Foot peg and Assembly- The foot peg broke off taking half of the bracket with it.
- Front Cowl
- Left Side Fairing
- Front Stay- IF it’s too damaged to bend back into shape. *UPDATE* The stay isn’t weakened. It just needed to be bent slightly.
That’s about it! Everything else is either just scuffed up or wasn’t damaged. I was afraid the mirror was broken, but it had just been pushed in. I bent it back out without a problem. I dropped the helmet off at the dealership, and we’ll know by the end of the week if he’s damaged. They’re going to go ahead and order new pads for it anyway. We get a free replacement every year.
I also have some photos of hubby that I’ll be sharing as soon as I get them transferred from the camera to the pc.
