I learned today just how hard some games can be on varying game consoles. For instance I love playing Moto GP 08, and I’m pretty darn good at it. Hubby wanted a racing game for the Wii, so I decided to buy MotoGP
for the Wii. Seriously, I should have just stuck my money back in my pocket and walked out of the store because it’s freakin’ hard as hell to play this game on the Wii! According to the ratings on Gamespot it looks like others might just agree with me. I think I shall be taking this one back and trading it in for something else.

I’m sorry if you haven’t been able to access the blog for a few days as I’ve been having some trouble with the database that has caused some downtime. Hopefully I’ve got everything straightened out now, but there’s always a chance that it could be down a bit more today or tomorrow when I try to fix one more issue.
I still haven’t fixed the comments issue, so I’m still manually verifying comments. What sucks is I think the only way to really fix it is to completely lose all previous comments. Luckily I haven’t had to deal with a lot of spam lately to manually deny, so I’m hoping that means I can keep manually doing things for awhile. If spam kicks back up again I’ll have to go back to the idea of wiping everything clean where the comments are concerned.
A friend suggested one more possible fix for the comments though, so I’m going to hopefully try that today. I apologize for any downtime that may result from that later today or tomorrow.

I’ve added a new feature to Moto Madness that you cell phone browser people will be sure to love. I’ve added a mobile version of my RSS feed! Never again will you have to be without my rants about unsafe riders, squids, lack of photos, or even my off topic posts about random things like how bad I want a tankless water heater.
Now you can take all my babbling and rambling with you no matter where your 2wheels (or 4 for those non riders) may take you!
How cool is that?
I think it’s super awesome, and my free feed is being brought to you by FeedM8 since I currently haven’t taken the time to learn how to setup a mobile version of my blogs. Stop by FeedM8 for your own mobile feed if you’re ready to go mobile. Did I mention you can earn money from your mobile feed as well?

Have you ever needed to design a print publication with more of a newsletter or newspaper layout style? Did you discover that word processing programs like Word, Open Office, or Wordperfect don’t really give you all the tools you need to do something like this while making it look good?
Check out Scribus. It’s a free desktop publishing and page layout program that will give you the results you’re looking for with toolsjust like most of the expensive programs that could cost you up to $1,000.
Because page design isn’t something that’s always easy to just jump into and do, Scribus also has a huge community full of support to help you learn the basics and more. The program is easy to use once you get the hang of it. I use it to create our quarterly newsletters for our local bike group.
Scribus works on Windows and Macs, but it’s also great for those of us who prefer Linux and Unix!
